Recognising the barriers to healthcare access faced by people in vulnerable circumstances, including migrants, we are committed to protecting the fundamental human right to health.

We will take active steps to ensure that everyone in our community can fully access their entitlement to high-quality healthcare.

In partnership with Doctors of the World UK, we are committed to providing a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment for all who seek to use our services.

In line with our responsibilities under equality and human rights legislation, we will implement patient registration policies that do not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, sexual orientation, immigration status, or any other protected characteristic.

With support from the Safe Surgeries initiative, we will ensure our staff are aware of the specific challenges faced by migrants in vulnerable circumstances and are empowered to reduce these barriers wherever possible.

We will ensure that lack of identification, proof of address, immigration status, or language ability does not prevent patient registration.

As a member of the Safe Surgeries community, we will support other Safe Surgeries where possible and provide feedback to Doctors of the World UK to help strengthen and develop the network.
